There has been some rumblings of unionizing in a different game that I follow. What are your thoughts on unionizing? Personally I think unions are a good thing in the esports business, companies are notoriously exploitative of both players and their own employees.
I've volunteered at LAN events and I couldn't tell you how many stories I've heard of people being unknowingly used and taken advantage of, made to work for free, gotten screwed out of their contracts and more. It's a dirty business.
I adore unions in general and think they are vital for esports. You have very young people, often literal children, dealing with contracts in the tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars....

They need a players union watching their backs and making sure these venture capitalists and fly by night "investors" aren't taking advantage of them.
