The Vikings have agreed to terms with former Bengals safety George Iloka on a 1-year deal. A big addition to their DB room, the kind you rarely find in August.

Maybe if the Vikings sign enough DB depth, they can fuse them all into a serviceable offensive linemen.
Was really hoping the Packers would grab him. Their safeties have not looked solid outside of HaHa Clinton-Dix. Eric Reid is still out there, but if rumors are true, he's being blackballed.
Maybe that's the Viking's strategy, scoop up all of the defensive talent so the offense has less to worry about.
Not sure if you're a Pack fan, but I hope Rodgers is back to form this season! It's more fun to win when he's playing ;)
Very much a Packers fan. I too am hoping Rodgers stays upright, though I have more faith in DeShone Kizer to do something than I do Brett Hundley, should what happened last year happen again.
.... it's breaking news about sports? and you're in ~sports?
Haha, I didn't see the comment, I'm guessing they weren't a football fan?
No I am, just don’t think this site is suitable for mundane free agent signings. Deleted because it was rude.
Gotcha, and understandable. Free agent signings are kind of a big deal at this point in the year for the NFL, and this one is particularly interesting and controversial since the Vikings have arguably a top 3 defense this year, while having one of the worst O-lines due to injury and lack of depth. I think there is a lot of discussion to be had around this signing.
That being said, maybe it would have been better if I found an article or press release regarding the signing rather than the breaking tweet. If ~sports just became an NFL twitter feed that would definitely be cause for head aches. I'll try to post in a more approachable way in the future.
If the tagging system works as intended in the future, then all NFL will end up under ~sports.NFL
Then all roster moves would go to
~sports.NFL.RosterChange
I don't think posts like this are a problem at all, especially if you can have good discussion on the players stats, team stats, expectations, etc.
Ok, I didn’t know that because I don’t follow the Vikings closely.
Absolutely to your second paragraph. The fact that it’s simply a tweet doesn’t help. A more in depth article with analysis would be more appropriate.
