It makes perfect sense to me: the NFL gets black people to do the actual work and take the physical risks, while white dudes just sit on their asses and comment. The NFL's "inclusion" is just a form of exploitation. Sure, the players get paid well, but they don't get paid nearly enough to take the sort of damage too many players end up taking over the course of a pro career. Furthermore, the NFL's mostly white ownership further reinforces the dynamic of black people doing the work and taking the risks while already-rich white people collect the profits.
