this was a good series but it also kinda sucks that probably the second best player in the entire league spent 12 whole minutes on the court before obliterating his leg again, and possibly the second best volume 3-point shooter of all time decided to have his knee detonate on him in an elimination game where he was going off such that golden state was hauling dudes who have really no business getting serious elimination game 6 minutes on the floor to try and close out, lmao.

they're actually intensely lacking in depth, especially relative to their title runs. their bench this year was easily the worst it's been in the past five or so years because they basically can't afford decent bench players with their cap situation now, and the only reason it wasn't worse is because the bench players they do have have a weird habit of going off and playing well above their weight class.

Honestly I disagree that the whole three All Stars thing works. Firstly I think All Stars as a metric is inherently flawed, Mo Williams and Jameer Nelson are technically also All Stars but they were never "stars". Also it's definitely possible for a few star players to win a championship but that only works when the team is built around that e.g. Lebron + 3nD players. Jonas Jerebko and Alfonzo McKinnie are not the right pieces to play around Steph and Klay. GSW lost because they intended to field Steph, Klay, KD, Dray and Boogie and when they lost 2 of those players they lacked the depth to make up for it.
Great win by the Raptors, glad to see them finally reach the potential they've briefly shown before. Sad about Thompson & Durant's injuries, hopefully they both rehab ok.

This is awesome. NBA was getting ridiculously boring with either LeBron of Curry winning every year.
The parade is on Monday and apparently the chaos will go on pretty much all day. Thank god I don't have to go downtown.
Glad to see carnivorous dinosaurs get the respect they deserve at long last.
