    They mentioned the threads on the baseball being different, which would mean less air resistance and more distance when the batter makes contact. But they didn't mention what all of the pitchers...

    They mentioned the threads on the baseball being different, which would mean less air resistance and more distance when the batter makes contact. But they didn't mention what all of the pitchers have been saying: the smoother stitches make it harder to throw breaking pitches. More hanging sliders = more home runs.

    Anyway, it seems like a bunch of small changes have combined to create a big power surge. Personally, I'm more of a small ball guy - it's just more fun to watch.
