    I would be down for this as long as they didn't force every team to use a DH for every game. I would hope they keep the current interleague rules where the teams play by the host's rules.

          Thank you. I've heard of designated hitters, but didn't make the connection. Being that the rule is controversial and not applied to both leagues, is there any data to back up that using a DH...

          Being that the rule is controversial and not applied to both leagues, is there any data to back up that using a DH actually reduces the number of injuries in the league that has applied the rule vs the one that hasn't?

            I don't know either. The usual argument in support of it that I see on r/baseball is that the DH has a higher batting average than pitchers do, but given that I'm a fan of an NL team I like seeing...
