this draws an interesting comparison between Rodgers and two other recent quarterback scandals, and the NFL's response to them.

Tom Brady cheated in "deflategate" and was suspended for 4 games of the following season, plus a $1 million fine and two forfeited draft picks.

Colin Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem as a form of political protest, and was blacklisted from the entire league.

Rodgers and the Packers have managed to do both. they cheated by allowing Rodgers to play in a game against the Arizona Cardinals (which the Packers ended up winning) when quarantine rules would have required Rodgers to sit the game out.

and unlike Brady's cheating, Rodgers's cheating has an element of political protest to it.

but somehow, I suspect that the punishment for Rodgers and the Packers will be far less than either of those two other scandals.

The newest saga in the fun soap opera that is my fantasy team is here, and it's that Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID, revealed that he had not in fact been vaccinated like he previously suggested, and is now taking a fascinating and fun heel turn in to Joe Rogan style COVID-skepticism.

Embattled Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers claimed Friday he has an allergy to Covid-19 vaccines and that he is taking ivermectin, and lashed out against the “woke mob” allegedly out to “cancel” him.

Rogers, who tested positive for Covid-19 and won’t play in his team’s game Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, has come under fire for not getting vaccinated.

“Look, I’m not, you know, some sort of anti-vax flat-earther. I am somebody who is a critical thinker,” he told “The Pat McAfee Show.”

“I consulted with a now good friend of mine Joe Rogan, after he got Covid and I’ve been doing a lot of stuff that he recommended,” Rodgers said, adding that he has taken monoclonal antibodies and ivermectin.

And this cherry on top (for the video: https://twitter.com/benbbaldwin/status/1456683358205906953?s=20):

Rodgers on @PatMcAfeeShow: I tested positive (for COVID-19), most likely from a vaccinated individual.

He also referred to this MLK quote: "One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws."

One also has a moral responsibility to not spread a disease during a worldwide pandemic the likes of which has not been seen for a century, but one supposes one does not think that deeply.
