Loneliness is such a complicated thing, since even when regularly surrounded by and interacting with people you know, you can still feel lonely. And because of that there is often no silver-bullet, surefire way of solving it, especially if clinical depression or social anxiety is involved. But if it is simply a matter of you not having anyone to talk to or spend time with, have you considered checking out Meetup or similar sites (E.g. local Facebook hobby groups, Discord servers, Steam groups, Roll20 or Reddit's LFG forums, etc) to find people that you have a shared interest with?

The reason I suggest that is because after one of my friends moved away they got pretty lonely too, since they were having a tough time meeting people in their new area... But Meetup (which I suggested to them) helped them find a bunch of new friends, who they now regularly hang out with, via a Poker Night event listing on the site.
