Just got back from my vacation! Whats up everyone? Have any of you been away?

I went to Iowa for over a month. Visiting family and such. How about you?

        My wife is being treated for breast cancer, and I need to use my paid time off in bits and pieces to take her to doctors' appointments, chemotherapy, etc.

            The doctors are confident they got it all in the mastectomy, so everything we're doing now is preventative. So she'll be getting another mastectomy and her ovaries removed. That means early...

            The doctors are confident they got it all in the mastectomy, so everything we're doing now is preventative. So she'll be getting another mastectomy and her ovaries removed. That means early menopause (at 41), but she'll get perky new boobs and a tummy tuck out of it.

            What sucks is that last year she turned 40 in Paris. This year we're fighting cancer. That's a hell of a comedown.

    I have been, and still am for the next 3 days, at Ft. Knox for the culminating event of ROTC, CST. I passed it and now I just have to finish my degree to get my commission in the army. Been a long...

    Been a long month, but overall not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.
