Where would you and a companion go with 4,000 dollars of airline credit?
My wife and I are flying home from our first vacation in a while. We got bumped to a later flight and the airline has compensated us each with $2,000 dollar travel vouchers. Where would you go given this opportunity?
Given that the travel is free but other costs are still on you, I'd go someplace with a low living cost but a lot of interesting things to see. India is an excellent (and hugely varied) place to visit, highly worth visiting.
I personally would like to travel to Japan. Japan has really good food that has somehow managed to avoid becoming an international fad, which is a bit of a shame because Japan has some crazy good cuisine. There is also a whole world of Sake for those who like their liquor.
Of course, the real reason I would like to go to Japan is because I am a nerd and want to go shopping for those Japan exclusive retro computers (I am dying for an X68000) and a selection of niche music releases that are extremely difficult to import.
