I tried college but ended up even getting kicked off fafsa because I was missing too many classes. If I were to go back to college I'd have to pay for the tuition to make up for those classes until I can be accepted again.

I know it would require paying off classes, but if you do decide to go this path, consider looking into online classes and getting disability accommodations (if you didn't already). I was able to go to school part time and still get some scholarships and grants through FAFSA because I had an officially reduced course load, and one of my accommodations occasional absences from class. I was able to finish my last year entirely online, even.

On the $2000 limit - have you looked into ABLE accounts? I'm guessing you may have, since you know your situation better than anyone, but I wanted to mention them in case you hadn't. The money in them can be used for things like education, housing expenses, and healthcare.

It doesn't fix the problem of income limits, so you might not be able to save a lot, but it's something. And if you have family able to help you financially, they can contribute to it.

I don't live in the USA but it is unlikely they could kick you out quickly in this situation. Do you have a copy of your lease? How is the rent paid?

The government shutdown has been putting increasing stress on me because of the human development people dont get funded and I can literally be kicked out for not paying the full non subsidized rent when they are shut down and not giving funds to us poor folks.

You might be surprised if you're from a country where poor people are not regularly punished just for existing. It differs by state and sometimes by city, so in some places a landlord can evict a tenant in less than a week if no rent is paid. (here is a link if you want to read about the eviction process in my neck of the woods, where it's bad)

Ok that's just insane. I guess I'm too used to the UK system which for all it's issues (and there's many) is fairer overall to both parties.

You need to find/get a copy of your lease, it is extremely important to know what the terms of your rental are rather than assuming anything or taking what someone says as "fact".
