What are you doing this weekend?

Even if you don't have any plans for the weekend, and just want to talk about how you are doing, this is a good place to do that too.

You can find last week's topic here.

So, what (or how) are you doing this weekend?

Went to Gencon for the first time today (really my first time at any gaming con) and had SO MUCH FUN! First game this morning kinda stunk, but the day just kept getting better from there!

Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do today and Sunday. Qrion is playing at audio SF tonight. Last time I went to audio for an electronic DJ it was very much a club atmosphere and not rave-y at all though, and I don't have anyone to go with so I'm not sure I want to bother. But I'll probably just keep an eye on traffic conditions and I might go anyways as tix are only $10.

Might just do hallucinogens on Sunday if no plans firm up.

I still have a bunch of articles, blog posts, and other reading stuff I need to catch up on since I fell behind this summer, but I think I am finally going to start reading Transmetropolitan this weekend, based off a recommendation from @cfabbro.

Other than that, I have migrated just about everything from my desktop's Windows installation back to Linux. The last two things I need to set up are Soulseek and a Direct Connect client. Unfortunately, the selection of Direct Connect clients for Linux seems to be quite a bit worse than what's available for Windows, or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough?

Either way, once I have those two things set up I'm going to start rebuilding my music and comic libraries, which used to be hundreds of gigabytes in size until I lost them.

After that, I'd like to install NixOS in a virtual machine and see if I want to put either that or Gentoo on my laptop.

Finally, I got into a bit of a spat on Wikipedia about the inclusion of a mention of the Sway window manager on the Wikipedia page for the i3 window manager, so I'm going to start working on a Wikipedia page for Sway, which should solve the root of the issue.

I suspect that writing that Wikipedia page will eat up any of this weekend's remaining time that I would otherwise devote to OpenStreetMap, but if I have a chance I will continue working on some of the eternally unpublished changesets I have been working on, like the RV parks I've partially mapped but still haven't pushed.

My wife and I met up with a friend and went to the Duckstein (German red-blonde beer) Festival, bought some cheese, went home, drank, and played Cards Against Humanity. Tomorrow we are going to a buffet with the English Stammtisch (a regular meetup) at a Filipino restaurant (It will be my first time eating Filipino food, looking forward to it) :)

Checked out a cool maker space today and drooled over their 3d resin printer. Pretty neat stuff in there.

A couple of friends and I finally managed to schedule a Vietnamese food tour of San Jose. A lot of others have joined in and it should be a day long eating/drinking party.

probably nothing, so it's going to be continuing to catch up on my seemingly neverending reading list (remains over 100 books and articles, folks).

Spending the weekend having a yard sale to clear my grandmothers house to prepare it for sale. And gonna hate every single minute of said weekend.

Just some house cleaning, light reading, buying a car, playing a few video games...y'know, the usual.
