LOL, great premise. Are you modeling the couple on Ron and Tammy Swanson from Parks & Rec? Because they are the most batshit, potentially universe destroying, dysfunctional couple I can think of. :P

Ron and Tammy are awesome, but Parks and Rec is more of a farce while I'm drawing inspiration from Ingmar Bergman films like The Seventh Seal and Scenes from a Marriage and the works of Todd Solondz!

Solondz is kind of a master in depicting uncomfortable/painful/messed-up situations. Happiness is my favorite.
