I don't think we have enough information to actually answer your questions. But I must observe that I'm on Tildes a lot more than I should, and to this day no one managed to generate such a response in me.

Why is that? Maybe Tildes users are generally polite, nice and respectful. Maybe we are not, and I do not have a tendency to hold grudges. I've seen people which had heated discussions with me treat me in kindness shortly afterwards. I guess what I want to say is that I love our community. I don't know how relevant this is for this thread, but I felt like saying it.

With that in mind, I suggest putting your interactions in perspective. I love Tildes, but at the same time I'm very aware that we're nothing more than strangers from the internet. It is not reasonable to give random internet users the power to control our mood in a negative way.

And it is entirely possible to to ignore certain people and certain contents even without automated filtering.

The ability to control our ingestion of written words is essencial for our mental health. There will always be people that bother us on a deeper level, you can't escape it both online and offline. It is okay to use automated solutions to make it easier for us, but we must be prepared for when stressful people, contents, and situations slip through the cracks.

So do not read those things that stress you. Just take a few deep breaths and move on.
