This is a lengthy transcript that I won't try to summarize, but Factorial Energy announced in a press release that they're shipping B-samples of their solid-state lithium metal batteries to Mercedes-Benz.

Among the interesting details in the transcript is that Factorial, despite its U.S. manufacturing base, receives no Inflation Reduction Act funding. Ms. Huang's commentary on this is worth reading. She also anticipates that we'll be seeing full deployment of solid state batteries in cars starting in 2027-2028, with the attendant 40℅ improvement in power for weight. Factorial Energy also expects that the lithium metal solid state technology will improve recyclability.
