    While I obviously need to read more about basic income to have a better opinion of it, the current scale of these "basic income experiments" seem too inefficient to gather any results. The very idea that we need basic income is really weird, since it means taxes would need to be higher, but also limits the expenses of people. I don't think basic income is the answer for the problems that automation may bring for the next decades. Also, I think automation won't hit everywhere that soon. Countries like US, China, etc. Have an edge in automation. But I would be surprised if poorer countries were to adopt automation that quickly. I still have to see people trusting a self-service kiosk in Brazil.
