          Among all the other things wrong with DRM, it really makes me worry about the future, in terms of long term data preservation. If civilization ever goes tits up, huge swaths of our culture are just going to be inaccessible, even when millions of instances of any particular artifact might be in circulation. We're setting ourselves up for a digital dark age, something hard enough to combat when it's not being intentionally engineered.
