    That explains a lot. Idk if anyone here uses TikTok but when I opened the app today it immediately requests for your birthday and suspends your account automatically if an age below (I would assume either 13 or 18) is entered.

      This is a really good move. I like TikTok but I actually stopped using the app for quite a while when they were still Musical.ly because I was kinda creeped by how young the demographic seemed....

    i love that what basically constitutes a record-breaking fine by the FTC is still like, six million dollars. like, that's fucking pocket change. if TikTok is profitable on any level they might...

    i love that what basically constitutes a record-breaking fine by the FTC is still like, six million dollars. like, that's fucking pocket change. if TikTok is profitable on any level they might make that back in a week or a day. it's such a small number that i'm pretty sure it's literally a negligible sum for any business beyond a certain threshold of even mild success.
