There are a few submissions featuring Shenzhen on Tildes already. I even submitted a couple of them myself, it's just that most weren't tagged with china.shenzhen because the tagging conventions hadn't really been established yet. E.g:

Turning a broken iPhone into a working USB flash drive? - in Shenzhen, China | Strange Parts
Inside a Huge PCB Factory in China - Strange Parts
(both from the same guy that did the "How I Made My Own iPhone" video you linked)

And from Deimos' comment in that first submission, I also recommend checking out Shenzhen: The Silicon Valley of Hardware (Full Documentary) from WIRED, though it's a bit slow and dry.

p.s. I used to watch serpentza often too, but something about him really puts me off. He is just so remarkably condescending (and seemingly getting even moreso with his growing popularity) so I unsubbed a little while ago.

    Two things:

    1. How about the host explaining how the robot competition is just an elaborate recruiting effort by robotic tech companies and then they show the competing teams come out to some techno version of the Requiem for a Dream song?

    2. I really appreciate both this video and the links submitted by other users on Shenzhen. It wasn't a city I was familiar with and despite it being clearly a global center it really isn't talked about as much as it should be. And honestly, that goes for a lot of major city centers around the world. I would love to see city compilations like this more often.
