Anyway, I wonder what the API is really like for a product like this. How much of the locomotion that they're showing off is included, or is a decent chunk of it pretty proprietary to them, and I'd need to recreate it myself? Let's say I'm some CEO of a tech company, and I wanted to get a spot (or two or three) to just monitor and observe my remote $20M homestead/compound to keep me safe—you know, programming routines like that of an NPC in a hitman game—how involved would something like that be? That's sort of the bridge that I'd like to see the marketing team cross.

Though, who am I kidding when positing these thoughts; these things will probably be used as weapons of war, not adorable lovable little sentry bots.

One thing which does pique my curiosity, the video mentions that there is a 3mph maximum speed to the device. I'm curious if that's a hardware or firmware limitation. It seems like it might be able to go faster, though it makes perfect sense that they might want to keep a sellable product in the range where it's unlikely to fail.

So can you buy one? How much does it cost? I wonder what people will do with it. I also wonder what the api looks like. If it's high level yet powerful, it could be a real game changer. More info...
