Interesting idea. I had a device similar this years ago. It was an Android tablet, running full-color android on one side, and a black-and-white "e-ink" screen on the other. It was really well designed, had great integration between the two screens, and was great for reading eBooks. However, it was a bit underpowered, and wasn't great for composing documents.

Looking at the design of this Surface thing, I'm not a big fan of the loose keyboard. I could see myself pulling the computer (tablet? PC? whatever this thing is) out of my computer bag, knocking off the keyboard and dropping it from a balcony or something.

Aside from that, I'm interested in the fact that they've really thought through what the dual screen functionality would be. It would have been much easier to have it basically function like a dual-screen desktop, and pitch it as "SEE?? WE'RE INNOVATING!" Thanks for sharing, this looks like it has some real solid potential.
