The original title ("‘Sexual’ use of eggplant and peach emojis banned on Facebook, Instagram") is sensationalized and misleading, and the article even explains that it's not really what's happening. Those emojis aren't specifically banned (though they are definitely some of the common ones used), and they're only used as a factor to make a decision when used in a very specific context along with solicitation.

Has a consensus been established on how to handle sensationalized titling when posting on Tildes? I missed a few things.

But what if a political ad uses those emojis?

Under the new terms [of Facebook Community Standards] — which were officially enacted in September — pairing an eggplant or peach emoji with any expression of what Out.com deems “being horny” now qualifies as “Sexual Solicitation.” This can get a user’s account flagged or removed, adult industry news site XBIZ reports.

    <...>

“[Content] will only be removed from Facebook and Instagram if it contains a sexual emoji alongside an implicit or indirect ask for nude imagery, sex or sexual partners, or sex chat conversations,” Instagram tells The Post.

    <...>

Nude photos where emojis cover genitalia, butts or female nipples are also now formally not allowed, as are any links or info leading to pornographic or otherwise adult material.

    <...>

The one clear exception to the near-blanket ban on sexual expression is using the platforms “to discuss and draw attention to sexual violence and exploitation.”
