Google has made an effort to crack down on tracker blockers recently. Rather than outright remove them from the store they heavily restricted the tools adblockers use and provided an api that lets adblockers work the way they currently do. The problem is trackers can change the way they work and ad blockers are no longer able to adapt because their tools have been removed.
