    This is an odd article. It talks about a lot of problems, but none of them seem to specifically be about the computers being underpowered. The closest it comes is saying that a software-only fix previously got less scrutiny from the FAA.

      This article is further proof of how badly the FAA fucked up by letting the 737 MAX get through.

      Every problem with the MAX really boils down to Boeing doing everything it possibly can to avoid a full certification process because that hurts the profit margins a bit, and the FAA not pushing harder for that to happen.

      The FAA should really ban any further modifications to the 737... Boeing is obviously not acting in good faith with respect to the fast-track for minor modificaitons, and that behavior should be shutdown.
