My adblocker is really more for blocking connections from domains I don't actually trust to not track me or serve me malware. These domains just so happen to almost always be related to an ad network. I hope more people follow New York Times' example. I was honestly wondering when newspapers would start directly selling advertising spots in their publications considering they basically invented the practice.
I'd rather just pay a little more and not have advertising at all. In reality though I've already set up custom DNS with nextdns and havent had ads on NYTimes in quite a while anyway. I'm...

I'm irritated that I pay for the service and still get ads. Not to mention that I'm already iffy on paying for their subscription given how horrible their Opinion section is.
I'd happily pay the same amount I'm paying now if I could have no ads and no Opinion section. Hell, I'd be happy paying the same I'm paying now, but no Opinion section. Just stop, y'all its so bad.
Really though still just subscribed mostly for the crossword. If anyone has a solid mobile-friendly crossword app suggestion, paid or not, Let me know!
