Twitter bans 7,000 QAnon accounts, limits 150,000 others as part of broad crackdown

@Twitter Safety:
We've been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. In line with this approach, this week we are taking further action on so-called 'QAnon' activity across the service.

      I've intentionally avoided paying attention to anything related to QAnon for a long time, because it doesn't deserve my attention. I had mentally filed them into the same category as Anonymous: a loosely defined group whose members follow only the most vaguely defined set of ideals and who has no cohesive leader or purpose. It appears that it has since evolved into a fairly specific set of conspiracy theories, with specific "leaders" espousing and promoting them on twitter and other platforms. The thing that stood out the most to me is actually that they have a flag. Which to me speaks of a certain level of cohesion, and also of the utter morally bankrupt levels that people are willing to cater to in order to sell some merch.

There's real stuff and there's not real stuff and the idiots who can't tell the difference don't have any business associating with eachother or publishing their nonsense!!
