Too many sites don't have the moderation of content they should. That threatens the safety of users and makes it easier for a bunch of people to commit crimes using said unpoliced platforms of mass communication.

Of course sites should be somewhat responsible for the things they host on their sites. That's obvious. It's so obvious in fact that Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Microsoft and Instagram are part of the companies that have pledged to remove hate speech from EU services within 24 hours after that content is reported to them.

Section 230 is broken because it lets companies off the hook too easily, not because of "bias" or "censoring too much", it's the opposite.
