Netflix prepares to add an audio-only mode for background listening

    If you haven't already, watch an episode of Daredevil with the described audio. I did the first season like this and it was surprisingly great.

    There are a few shows I would give a listen to rather than divert my full attention, and I guess that somewhat helps with the "too many shows" issue.

      I find the level of concentration required for books to be unsuitable for background listening. Books I've read/listened to enough times to be able to hear a line and know exactly what is going on...

      I find the level of concentration required for books to be unsuitable for background listening. Books I've read/listened to enough times to be able to hear a line and know exactly what is going on are the same kind of books I want to give my undivided attention to.

      I like things like futurama/the office/brooklyn 99 for background because they are familiar and I enjoy watching them multiple times but they require little to no attention and every once in a while you catch a gag or scene and thats enough. I'm not entirely convinced I would go with an audio only stream of it though.
