We believe users should have the choice over the data that is being collected about them and how it's used. Facebook can continue to track users across apps and websites as before, App Tracking Transparency in iOS 14 will just require that they ask for your permission first. pic.twitter.com/UnnAONZ61I

This is a pretty big tweet (given Tim Cook usually doesn't comment on anything outside of Apple's products and quarterly earnings), seemingly in response to Facebook taking out multiple ads claiming Apple is hurting small businesses by notifying users of how Facebook tracks and identifies users across its platform and the wider web.

This could turn into something of Apple v. Epic proportions.
