    I remember being involved with our local BBS, here in the US, a couple of years before WWW. Then things started to change through the university I was attending at the time. Mind you that universities were some of the first institutions/people that had access to WWW.

    At that particular time, I was a student that managed a local rock band. I used the early e-mail system (university only then) to create an e-zine for fans to keep track of this band. It was highly successful at marketing the band's prominence in the area.

    Like I've stated before on Tildes, things went south incredibly fast beginning with the Eternal September.
