Markdown and HTML tables are such a PITA! I do this too... although I typically go back to my old ~test topics and edit them when drafting stuff so nobody sees my struggles. ;)

If you have RES installed for reddit, it gives you a live preview. Just start a reply to any comment and don't post it in the end. Edit: Looks like Tildes Extended does a live preview as well....
