Testing max-width consistency. I don't see the need for it in p tag in comments on 1080p aka $size-2x - asdas dasdasd asdasasd asdasdasd asdasd asdasd asdsada asdasdas asdasda end

but why are comments max-width'ed less than auto? Just for readability?
Yeah, I imagine so. Google recommends keeping lines of text to a maximum of around 70 or 80 characters, which Tildes actually even exceeds by quite a bit. And if you're curious about the science behind that general line-length web standard, see:

Thanks to you and @bauke for answering my questions and for those sweet links!
No prob and no prob. I find the topic of how we read and what the optimal line length is rather fascinating myself, so I did a bunch of digging back when I first saw google’s recommendation a few years ago.
P.s. Even though this is a rather old article, it’s still quite relevant and does a good job of covering all the bases too: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/09/balancing-line-length-font-size-responsive-web-design/
The add comment textarea is also max-width'ed less than auto.. why is this? There must be a reason for all this?
