Instead of karma, can we get a user score of how many comments were started and then deleted without actually posting?
I'm joking, but only kinda...
I'd be interested in my rate, as well as other peoples'.

yeah... I do this a lot.
I have an idea of something to say, get half through it, realize I don't actually know what I want to say, and then end up closing the tab 20 minutes later...
Yep. My thing is usually I'll go to argue with a poster, realize it isn't worth my time and close it.
I'd have a terrible score
I resemble this remark.
I'll start typing a response, maybe doubt myself and so go off to research and check my thinking is correct, come back to the comment and then realise it probably isn't worth it, or someone else has beat me to the punch.
I hate that feeling. So much wasted time. I think it's probably a sign that we are more thoughtful commenters on the other hand...
I'm glad it's a joke because no thanks. That would mean it would have to inputgrab the comment box and keep track of things. That's not good practice for websites that aren't facebook.
Edit:
It'd be useful to have stats about how many moderator deleted comments there were per thread.
There will probably be public action logs for holding trusted users accountability, so no need for a count. How exactly the logs will work (full transparency, psuedo-random IDs, viewing locked behind a minimum level of trust, etc) is still being debated and discussed though.
Based on a lot of the ~ docs, I wouldn't be surprised if implementing those stats is already planned, but a few months/a year out.
I've done this a few times :D
I do tthis moree ofteen than not. Mpstly because english isn't my firrstt language and whilee writing a longer response i get a feeling that what I write and what I want to write are two different things, altering my real point.
