I have to reload my inbox in order to vote on messages in it
Not sure if this is intentional or not, but I've noticed today that the first time I click on the new messages link at the top right, I cannot vote on any messages I read. I need to reload my inbox in order for the vote to stick.
Anyone else encountering this?
Top right >1 new comment.
Click on it and it brings you to your inbox; unread messages.
For some reason I did not encounter this issue with your message, but has been happening all day. Perhaps a poor connection at the office today? I'm not sure and I guess I'll have to do more testing.
I've noticed something like this happening occasionally, but it's inconsistent and I haven't been able to figure out what causes it. I haven't changed anything today though, so it shouldn't be any different today.
If it happens again, do you know how to open the browser console/network developer tools and see if you can see any errors in there?

edit: oddly enough right now in my inbox it's only happening to your comment
edit2: more error when replying to your comment specifically https://i.imgur.com/BiRhezN.png
(I just voted on this comment from my notifications page successfully)
From this StackOverflow question, it looks like it may be an extension causing it: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54126343/how-to-fix-unchecked-runtime-lasterror-the-message-port-closed-before-a-respon
Do you use LastPass? It looks like that "onloadwff" might be a part of that.
I do. Cheers for the help debugging.
Looks like I have some digging to do.
It's weird because it will only sometimes affect messages in the inbox. Like with your reply, there were 2 others in the list I could vote on, and each reply since I've had no issue voting on from the inbox.
If you disable #network-service in chrome://flags, does that fix it? I've noticed it causes some errors on 4chan that were resolved by disabling it.
right now I'm having trouble reproducing the error, but I'll give this a try
added another image to my reply, caught some additional errors when replying to your message, which I could not vote on from the inbox despite being able to vote on other replies in the same page
