The issues aren't being ported over, but for exploring the code and commits it's up to date and should work fine. I have no idea if merge requests are being accepted from there though.
Gitlab can be a bit wonky, but if you're familiar with Github you should be able to pick up Gitlab pretty quick. If you need any help familiarizing yourself with it though, let me know and I will...

Neither. Here on Tildes, during the alpha-testing phase we're all in, "intended feature which isn't yet implemented" is also a valid option for these things. ;)
