p.s. Stripe is one of the payment platforms Tildes uses to take donations via CC, so using it for something else might be a bit confusing:

A doc page with the priority list would be nice. I think it's: permalink, own-post, exemplary.

Yeah, it would be nice to have written down somewhere for people. Maybe @Algernon_Asimov can include it somewhere in his WIP "How To" Guide on the ~tildes wiki. But I think your list is a bit off and missing some... from what I can tell the border colour priority goes:

            comment:target > comment-exemplary > comment-mine, comment.new > comment-by-op

But it's a bit hard to figure out for sure since references to them are kind of all over the place. Maybe @Deimos can clarify the order if he gets a chance?

You're right. I just checked and exemplary is higher priority than own-comment. I must have been thinking of something else.

I think that order should be right. The situation will be better when I finally get around to finishing the change so that linking to a comment goes to a different page, instead of just using an anchor/highlight. Then we won't need the comment:target one that hides the others.

I actually kind of like how it just uses an anchor versus reddit's permalink system. No need to futz with ?context=3 or any of that nonsense.

There is no visible "Exemplary" text any more; the word "Exemplary" does not appear above a comment. The only visible indication that a comment has been labelled exemplary is a blue line along the comment's left border. (I've checked every native theme, and they all show this blue line.)

Scroll down in this thread. My reply to cfabbro's comment was marked exemplary (it was just cfabbro being nice). Do you see a blue line along my comment's left border?

I don't know if I'm a big fan of the color coding. First, it's an issue with color blindness but maybe the colors are safe, I dunno. But just generally, it's not very intuitive. I still don't know what's yellow lines, red lines, etc. Don't see it explained anywhere, either.

Don't see it explained anywhere, either.

As explained elsewhere in this thread, I'm going to add this to the "how to" guide (which is a long-term work in progress). EDIT: I've copied the bullet-points from this comment into the guide. That'll suffice until I write it properly.

it's an issue with color blindness

I'm not around here much and I'm not colorblind myself, so maybe it's been established that the colors are safe, but this seems like a major issue to me. Not having some additional form of identification for features like these cripples the ability of people with colorblindness to engage with the site. Something as small as a star or dot would suffice, but color can't be the only indicator unless we're sure it's a color that will work.

I don't think they're safe either, it can be hard to tell whether the line is black, blue or purple.
