The fact that a lot of people here are programmers doesn't mean that they will only post in ~comp and ~tech. A lot of my colleagues are into anime, games, science, literature and other humanities, and don't even get me started on their tastes in music. Let's just say that not everyone likes 80s synth-pop as much as I do.

Thanks for suggesting Tildes in there. I'm not sure what the purpose of submitting it here was though. In general, it's usually easiest to just link people to the announcement post on the blog, which works well as an intro to the overall goals as well as giving them a way to request an invite if they want one.

Tildes doesn't exactly lack programmer types.

If you want faster opensource development, the more "programmer types" we can get in here during this early stage, the better IMO.
