Collapsible comments vs. spoiler tags
Just noticed that the contents of expandable comments are automatically shown in the one-line summary when comments are collapsed; see here. Considering we often use them for spoiler comments, maybe this warrants changing this behavior? Or at the least it adds to the case for implementing dedicated spoiler tags within comments.
Yeah, the collapsed comment state revealing the <details> contents has been known about since <details> was first implemented... which is why the original spoiler tag feature request was never closed.
Ah, OK. Now this brings up something else - maybe we should have the gitlab link in the ~tildes group sidebar as a reminder? I only searched on here for a similar thread and didn't find anything.
There is already a link to Tildes Gitlab page in the site footer (click "Source Code" below 🠗)... but also putting a link to it in the ~tildes sidebar isn't a bad idea. However, unfortunately I don't think there is currently a way for those of us with wiki editing permissions to link directly to an external URL in the sidebar; We can only create new wiki pages and put external links inside of those, which would be a rather annoying and roundabout way of doing it.
@Deimos, is it possible for you to manually insert a link directly to Tildes Gitlab page in the sidebar?
Yeah, I can do that. I'll add some useful Tildes/Gitlab links to the sidebar.
Looks good. Thanks!
