I used to keep and breed corn snakes. The general advice is to only feed them dead mice, because with live ones ... "sometimes the mouse wins".

I really enjoyed it. But I guess I’m biased because I’ve been reading the “If It Bleeds” collection of short stories and then this came out. I don’t care that the protagonist is a female and I thought they did a good job with it. I see a lot of negative comments about that and I feel like a majority of them are rooted in some kind of unconscious misogyny, like if they dropped the original Alien in our time those same people would pick that apart as a “you go girl” fan flick.

There were some issues with plot and characterization but it did not take away anything for me. I look forward to either a sequel following this film or maybe they’ll pull from the book I’ve been reading and give some of those stories a green light. The samurai story was dope and the Norse Vikings story was also pretty great.

Personally, I think this thread has the right idea.

Prey realises the best way to make a good Predator film is just to take any genre/time period and just throw a fucking Predator in there. Comanche's fighting a Predator? Cool. 1950s Gangsters up against one? Sure. Samurais fighting Predators? Take my money now

Mind-blowing. I just learned that Samurai, Conquistadors, Ottomans, and Aztecs fought one another.

      This, but add Predators 👍
