‘Robocop,’ ‘Stargate’, ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘Barbershop’ among titles in works for film and TV as Amazon looks to supercharge MGM IP
Stargate is one of those series that has massive potential and whose IP can keep giving. I look forward to it…
One of favourite scifi series of all time. Brad Wright has been eager to do a new show for years, too. Every time it looks like it's going to happen, the property is sold to another network, or something calamitous like a global pandemic occurs.
I'd love to see the story for SG-1 played out further, but at this point I'm afraid that it being greenlit might just trigger the rapture or something.
I think we might be getting the monkey’s paw answer: it gets the go ahead, but without the production team who made it special
Yeah, I would kill for another Stargate show. They're amongst my all-time favorites, and IMO even the shortlived Stargate Universe with Robert Carlyle was great. A Robocop show could be pretty cool too though if done correctly, by embracing the satire of the original... which the 2014 remake completely failed to do.
