This show is a perfect example that something might indicate you spend too much time on the internet. It really is a great show but if you have spent anytime on the internet in the past few years, you'd think it was the biggest load of garbage ever. I am definitely excited for a whole slew of new content from Roiland and Harmon, regardless of how the internet over hypes them.
So another 6 or 7 seasons and on a regular schedule. Nice, now that they know they have 70 episodes to work with they can do some over multi-season story arcs.

It's a double edged sword, a lot of artists and athletes seem to slow down and lose their drive when their future is safe. I hope that they hold on to it, but 70 episodes is a lot.

It's going to be a long long time before this show dies. The higher ups in the company realize they have another Simpsons/Family Guy and now they will run the money train until it is out of gas.

It could, or the team could spend a significant amount of time up front to figure out what they're going to do with 70 episodes; what kinda of story arcs they want to do, where each character...

Don't get me wrong, the more likely scenario is they get another 2-3 good seasons and the rest suck, but it is possible they use this opportunity to do something fantastic and for the next 7 years we have a brilliantly paced, engaging, show.

Like a lot of media, the worst part tends to be the fanbases.

Yeah, that's why I'm not excited about this news. I expect a giant 70 episode order to become mediocre very quickly.
