I would definitely start from the very beginning though (the first season is the strongest, in my opinion). Kristen Bell is brilliant in Veronica Mars and the writing style is kind of similar to that of Joss Whedon. Actually, I think Whedon actually said at some point that Veronica Mars was the best show ever.
Having said that, I'm not sure I have super high hopes of the revival being very good. The movie was a bit weak, with a lot of the wit from the series being replaced by swearing. I'll still check it out though.
