IMO Iron Fist was absolutely the weakest of the Marvel series on Netflix so it's not really surprising they cancelled it. I really struggled to get through Season 1 and while Season 2 was better, it was still pretty sub-par. It kinda sucks they won't get a third season though since the ending of S2 looked like it might finally get interesting and with Iron Fist gone I have to wonder if we will ever get a The Defenders S2 now. :/

I hope they don't cancel Jessica Jones though... I know a lot of people complain about it online but it's honestly my second favorite after The Punisher. Daredevil season 1 was absolutely stellar (in large part because of Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin) and would be my #1, but I can't help but feel S2 was pretty shitty so puts it in 4th after Luke Cage for me now. Hopefully with Kingpin back for S3 Daredevil will return to form though.

I do admit if any had to be canned, Iron Fist was the easy choice for the one to kill. It was pretty bad and almost cringy at times with the writing and the acting and seems like another defenders is probably out of the question now.

It's been a good run but I think all of them have gone on a good amount of time once their season 3s are all out, hopefully the Punisher doesn't go anywhere though... that is a great show that's only just getting started.

The wording was very specific: there will be no season 3 of Iron Fist on Netflix. The Disney rep was very careful not to say anything final about Iron Fist itself. And while I agree that the series was the weakest of the Netflix series, that's kind of like saying that a specific player is the worst out of a team made of Wayne Gretsky, Mark Messier, Gordie Howe, and Jaromir Jagr. Someone in the list has to be fourth, because first, second, and third are so stellar.

Danny Rand becomes the Iron Fist after achieving a kind of permanent zen. (Mastery of meditation amongst other things). Though he can be irritated, or overcome by love ocassionly, he's probably among the most level-headed heroes of the Marvel universe (well, the main 'verses).

Instead of this strong, unshakeable character, Netflix gave us a tantrumming teenager with supernatural power.

There's just no way Elektra could tease the real Danny Rand into punching a wall.

Luke Cage? Sure. But Rand? Not happening.
