I binged watched both seasons of Fleabag over the weekend which was really excellent. The creator and star is the person in charge of Killing Eve I think which has been getting a lot of attention, and based on how funny and honest I thought Fleabag was I'll probably watch that next! I thought the second season of Fleabag was superior to the first, but maybe just because I'm always a sucker for a storyline where the love story ends up being about family (and sisters in particular).

And we've been watching Fraiser which I have never seen any episodes of, and my 17 year late review is that it's pretty funny!

Last Sunday's John Oliver was one of the best episodes in recent memory. The entire Rory Stewart conspiracy bit was hilarious.

I've finished all available episodes of Chicago Med. I enjoyed it, but there are a couple of problems. There was some discussion here recently about technobabble in StarTrek recently and it made me realise that they do exactly the same in Chicago Med - "Hey nurse, we need to med the med so the patient will med", "but doctor, if we med the med then...". I also find it frustrating that the characters are so inconsistent week to week. There's a psychiatrist and one week he's defending someone's rights not to be held, the next week he's holding someone (probably illegally), next week he's describing behaviour as not mental illness and thus not something that can be used to hold a patient, the week after he's using behaviour that isn't mental illness to hold someone. There's a nurse who one week is all "I'm a Catholic, I have to protect life AT ALL COSTS", and next week not so much. It makes the show incoherent. I'd forgive the routine breaking of the law if the characters were at least consistent - and that would help with the drama I think.

I've just started watching Chicago Fire, and I'm not sure I like it. I'm looking for some disposable tv that I can binge watch while I'm working - so I'm not going to be paying too much attention to it.

I finished watching The Virtues and it was amazing. A difficult watch.

I enjoyed it. It's not as strong, and I noticed the different writer. It's not terrible though.

State of the Union is a fun little series worth watching. A couple meets for ten minutes before couple's therapy, and those are the only ten minutes we witness per episode.

Gomorrah has wrapped season 4 -- and, if you haven't watched it yet, do yourself a favor and do so. It's one of the better 'mafia' series to come out in a long time.

    • Gomorrah (2014) - Based on Robert Saviano's bestselling book, this gritty Italian crime drama paints a portrait of the brutal Neapolitan crime organisation the Camorra, as seen through the eyes of Ciro Di Marzo, the obedient and self- confident right-hand man of the clan's ~84.0%
    • State of the Union (2019) - State of the Union follows Louise and Tom who meet in a pub immediately before their weekly marital therapy session. Each episode pieces together how their lives were, what drew them together, and what has started to pull them apart. ~76.0%

edit: If you're looking for a fun series, check out Wellington Paranormal. I'm not sure why it didn't get more hype.

    • Wellington Paranormal (2018) - Sergeant Maaka and Officers Minogue and O'Leary are members of the Wellington, New Zealand, police. Their job is to investigate paranormal phenomena. ~68.5%

Chernobyl is excellent. You could have Jared Harris recite the phone book and it would be gripping.
