The fact that many studios are owned by media conglomerates built off of advertising, I think it's some of the most manufactured hype possible. They have a vested interest to see it do well (especially with a younger audience), but I wonder if it will lead to inevitable bickering over carriage rights and promotion, ultimately leading one company to take majority ownership (à la Hulu).
Quibi was founded in August 2018 by Jeffrey Katzenberg and is led by Meg Whitman, who serves as the company's CEO.[1] The service is targeted toward a younger demographic with content delivered in short-form 10 minute episodes called "quick bites".

Hollywood has too much money.
If they really wanted this to take off, open it up to animators. They have short form content on lock, are itching to get off of YouTube, and you have a built in niche that would catch an audience, more than junk food TV, but it's short.
Is it just me or does all of the hype around Quibi feel manufactured?

My thoughts:
