If Hi-Fi rush isn't seen as valuable to the company I don't think Game Pass is as valuable to the company as Microsoft thinks. Once that becomes more apparent, I think it'll force Phil to step down and we'll get new and probably radically different leadership from Xbox.

Instead we could use much more efficient irrigation methods. Which do cost more, but the government hasn't had any issue subsidizing farmers in the past. So why not do so for something actually useful?

Currently Id guess most of this size is having to download web frameworks over and over again. Which sucks because it's slow and wasteful. But in most circumstances I'd imaging there will be significant caching.

Which I should agree with, but at the same time there's near constant news of layoffs, companies reducing the quality of goods, and a general sense of 'greedflation' whether that's real or not.
I'm curious what other people are thinking, and if there's a way the economy can be failing (outside of housing) while those traditional indicators of GDP, business ownership, stock ownership, savings, and debt might look ok.

Especially when dealing with markets lacking a lot of competition due to consolidation.
While businesses are always maximally greedy. It might take an example of another company successfully raising prices in order for them to realize they could raise prices and get away with it in their current context. Leading more companies to reevaluate and a wave of price increases. None of which could be fair or reasonable and could end up in a scenerio where you're just squeezing consumers harder because they lack alternatives. Which I think is what people are considering as greedflation.
As for how to get evidence of that I'm not sure. But record revenue would be consistent even if it's not only increased profit. I suppose finding industries with a ton of competition might be one way as you'd respect them to be more informed and not make these drastic price jumps.

It's pretty ironic, the video mentions jumping between tools as being a problem (it usually isn't) and then suggests jumping to their generic solution. From my experience in software the issue is almost never the tool. I've done complex planning using Googles shitty Jamboard (now shut down) and it works fine.
The issue is always people, and the video even focuses on that more than plaintext as an idea. With more generic advice about stand-up meetings. So what if you ask people if they have blockers? I have work right now that is blocked and it wont change a god damned thing who I tell. I don't have a solution to make people actually care, plan, and work together. I don't think anybody really does. The only lesson should be if you do find yourself in a working team or workflow. Don't have the hubris to think you know why it's working.

The scope and quality standards can just as easily rise. Which is mostly what we've seen from better tooling. The only thing that will make games more manageable is a focus on making medium sized games from those in power.

These are a waste of time and in some cases are funded by oil and gas to pretend they're doing something about CO2. These plants capture a negligible amount of CO2, take a lot of resources, to build and run, and generally suck ass.
We don't need technological innovation to solve the climate crisis. We just need to reduce our carbon usage and increase our carbon capture. The second of which can be done by de-developing land, supporting local ecosystems, reducing land for animal's and their feed (promoting veganisms/reduced meat consumption), reverse soil erosion by requiring permaculture farming practices.
In general nature is great at capturing carbon and we should support that as much as possible instead of focusing on these direct carbon capture ideas that show no evidence of affordably working at any significant scale.
