    I'd like to pick up Minecraft again specifically to play beta 1.7.3, I enjoyed the pre hunger system game a lot. Though I'll probably play some newer versions as well. I've watched a few golden age Minecraft videos and some of the mods like Better Than Adventure look interesting.

    I hope you enjoy Vintage Story! I'm excited to get my hands on it when I can afford to.

    I know exactly what you mean about some of the mods in Minecraft. If I stopped playing and came back I'd have no idea what was going on.

    From what I've seen the progression curve seems to be rewarding and I like idea of all my things being something I worked hard to acquire.

    Can't wait to get my hands on the game!

    I feel like gaming with them will be a fun time as doing that with my Dad are some of the few good memories I have with him.

    Your extras do sound like the ideal game! I did see in a review video that the devs only consider the game 10% complete so I'm very curious what will be added down the road.

    I love that description. I know there's Minecraft mods that go that route but since I don't have MC now and this is cheaper I'd rather support these indie devs when I can afford it

    I had a similar feeling when I saw it! I think I was recommended a video about this since I had been looking at some Golden Age Minecraft videos. I stopped playing a while ago after I found the newer versions of Minecraft were adding things that just didn't click for me and I enjoyed the older mechanics better. My brother took his account back to play with his kids now that they're old enough so I'd need to buy a new copy if I want to play it and try out those old versions again.

    I agree with the sense of wonder and have been trying not to watch any actual lets plays of it so I'll come into the game somewhat fresh if I do eventually pick up a copy.

    Would anyone know if there is a mod that returns the Fallout 3 & NV style VATs? I honestly really enjoyed having the game pause and let me make decisions instead of it just slowing down time.

    I got 4 on release and that with the dumbed down dialogue and some other issues led me to not finish the game or even get that far into it. I feel like this far along most of the issues have been patched/modded out and it would be worth playing once I can find some time.

    I feel like if it was billed as a separate Mulan adaptation and not a recreation of the Disney animated movie I'd have been more open to it and wouldn't have judged it the way I did.

    Mulan was one of those movies I pirated to watch and afterwards told my wife I felt like it wasn't worth the time I wasted to watch it. I just couldn't believe they thought the movie was going to be a success.

    Mulan was my wife's favorite Disney movie growing up and was incredibly popular in the state she grew up in (she's ethnically Chinese in the most ethnically Chinese state in her country). She said it felt like they tried to capitalize on the nostalgia but didn't try to capture anything that made the movie special.

    I think that would be how I'd play if I ever got into it again. Sadly my current laptop would struggle to run it and I don't think I'll be building a new desktop anytime soon. It looks incredibly fun and honestly I'm just not up to keeping up with people who play all the time or have the time to get my raid ruined by a hacker.

    I'll be curious when I finally get around to upgrading/rebuilding if this game will still be actively played.

    I enjoyed my time in EFT with a standard account. I got into it during early COVID with my friends and it was great, but after my second wipe I knew I wouldn't be able to keep playing. It's fun but I don't have the time to keep up with the meta or make meaningful progress.

    I have heard there's a mod that allows you play single player and doesn't wipe your progress. Essentially turning the game into PvE. My friends who are still interested in the game told me it's the only way they play nowadays.

    Sad to see this happen to the game though. I enjoyed my time and definitely got my money's worth. I'll still watch an occasional video of it and that's enough to scratch the itch for me.
