I love Dave. I've been following his career since the days of The Guilty / Coolidge. It is nice to hear... everything come into it wrt synth etc. I'd murder for another Headphones record, though....

man, i love Dave -- but... he's starting to sound the same with every new single. I like it, but Dave has definitely settled on a sound for a time where Jurado is still cranking out stuff all over...

for CLI, you'd do mkvmerge -o out.mkv --split chapters:all coolvideo.mkv and it would spit them out as out-001.mkv etc

Awesome! she’s great— i’ll definitely check this out. Comparing it to West Wing is an instant sell. Can it fit my headcanon that everything she does is as a russian operative?

This is the Keri Russell one, right? Silly that two shows with the same name came out so close to each other.

I know, I know. I was all depressed and read the summary and was like, 'fuck this.. no thanks, boss'

I should have just done it. I'll bump down my list and pick it up in a few weeks. I've got a few rewatches coming up, so it'll fit nicely in there.

    • King Kong (1933)
    • Demolition Man (1993)
    • Manhattan (1979) (rewatch)
    • Doctor Zhivago (1965)
    • Harold and Maude (1971)
    • Patton (1970)
    • Cat Ballou (1965)
    • All That Jazz (1979) (rewatch)

I like Dev Patel. He does a lot of shitty boomer movies then cranks out The Green Knight and this. He's got some good variety in his catalog.

I think Dev Patel did some of his own stunts, too. Kind of neat. Overall, though, not a great movie.

On Friday Kendrick Lamar released both Euphoria and 6:16 in LA. Drake responded with Family Matters and within an hour, Kendrick was back with this.

Basically, take The Founder and stack it with comedians and some really funny kids that were perfectly cast. Its got a similar tone to Comedians in Cars... when he did the goofy stuff with Michael Richards, if that makes sense.

I'm not an Amy Schumer fan, but she's also perfect for this. I went in expecting it to be awful since every comedian is on their podcast saying its amazing; but it lived up to the hype.

I think its also fine for kids. There are some jokes that would go over their heads, but so far as I can remember there isn't any swearing that isn't beeped out, and that's only during the outtakes during the credits.

That being said, I'll absolutely never watch this again and will most likely forget about it in a week. :)
