After over a decade of planning and construction, Plant Vogtle’s Unit 4 reactor has finally entered commercial operation. It makes me happy seeing four plumes of water vapor coming from the cooling towers when I go to work each day. Let’s hope we can find a way to get costs and construction times of the AP1000 down for future projects in the U.S. and Europe.
