In April 2018, Facebook promised to share data so academics could research impact on elections. They haven't done it, and the project's funders will pull out if it's not all available by Sept 30

    Facebook is so utterly bizarre. They essentially seem to be built on an empire of lies and obfuscation. Maybe they really are honest, who knows. But there's a lot of talk coming out of both sides...

    They promised to behave better and improve while they were in the spotlight. Then the news moved on, and Facebook stopped pretending like they were actually trying to improve. This probably won't...

This probably won't make any headlines because it's not as exciting as FACEBOOK STEALS ALL THE DATA and updates to existing situations generally get ignored in the news, unless they are extremely vital and the public's attention is on those situations.
